We have a dedicated team of staff that are always looking at making your childs time at our setting a very special one.
Joint Playgroup Leader, Claire has been with us for well over 12 years. Claire enjoys playing, cooking and loves nothing more than “getting messy with the children”. She is very interested in supporting the children in observing and discovering nature in the garden.
Claire delights in the children’s enjoyment of the playgroup environment and their imaginations. With every new group, the children consistently believe “the staff live in the sheds and the garden playhouse” – well there’s one for each of them!
Claire has a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce and has completed courses in Child Protection, First Aid for Early Years and is the Equality’s named person.
When Claire isn’t getting messy with the children she loves the outdoors – cycling, walking and bird watching – her favourite are penguins! Not too many of those in Cambridgeshire but she likes to travel!
Joint Playgroup Leader, Sarah has been with us for over 5 years. Sarah enjoys getting messy with the children and is involved in imaginary play. She says ”There aren’t many jobs where you can get to play all day”. She loves watching the children grow and develop during their time at Ladybirds. Sarah has over 20 years of experience in childcare and is NNEB qualified and has completed courses in senco, child protection, first aid and ECAT.
She has 2 school aged children and is often seen on the school run by previous children and will always stop to catch up. Sarah is involved in the children’s work within her church and enjoys playing a brass instrument. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
Playgroup Assistant Andy has been with us for 8 years. Andy always “enjoys coming to work and playing with children”, she fondly recalls a child telling her, she’d named her build a bear Andy. Andy has completed courses in First Aid for Child Carers and Child Protection. She also has a Diploma in Art & Graphic Design and encourages the children’s creativity.
With 2 school age daughters, Andy can be seen about the village on her bike or doing something sporty like tennis. She always has a ready smile for The Ladybird children.
